Yasmine Hammamet Overview

Stylish holidays: Yasmine Hammamet is purpose-built for holidays, styled in much the same way as Port el Kantaoui holidays. It’s close to the incredibly popular holiday resort of Hammamet and boasts a stylish marina, a glamorous casino and two great golf courses ideal for golfing holidays nearby.

Family holidays: Being based around beach holidays and primarily aimed at tourists, Yasmine Hammamet holidays have lots of fun activities perfect for family holidays. The Carthage Land theme park is within the resort, plus kids will enjoy playing on the mini-golf courses or even Tunisia’s only ice rink Blue Ice!

Activities in Yasmine Hammamet

Carthage Land Theme Park: This colourful theme park is perfect for family holidays and at only five minutes away from most of the all inclusive hotels in Yasmine Hammamet, it’s very convenient too. In fact, it’s actually quite close to the coast, so if you’re planning on spending your beach holidays here you could easily decide to pop to Carthage Land after you’ve spent some time sunbathing! Inside, there’s a good selection of small rides like bumper cars, tea cups and log flumes as well as a small farmyard area.

Grand Casino Yasmine: This large casino is often the focal point of the nightlife on holidays to Yasmine Hammamet. It offers the opportunity to try out lots of creative cocktails in classy surroundings, as well as the gambling of course! Give blackjack, roulette and poker a go, and who knows you may win some extra spending money or even enough for more holidays to Yasmine Hammamet in the future!

Blue Ice Rink: How do you fancy visiting the only ice rink in Tunisia? Well you can if you’re on your holidays in Yasmine Hammamet! This modern indoor ice rink has suitably blue neon lightning giving it a fresh, clean contemporary feel. Inside, there’s more than just ice skating fun to be had too, as there’s an arcade, 2 restaurants and a few small shops, making a great focal point for family holidays.

Beaches in Yasmine Hammamet

Yasmine Hammamet Beach: Yasmine Hammamet holidays are located on the popular Gulf of Hammamet coastline, so you’re guaranteed great beach holidays wherever you choose to sunbathe. There are lots of all inclusive hotels in the area, many of which have their own stretch of private beach, but there’s no problem if your hotel doesn’t have one, or if you’re not on all inclusive holidays here, as there are public parts of the beach available for a cheap price anyway. Tunisian beaches are often famed for the fineness of their sand, and Yasmine Hammamet holidays are no exception to this rule. The powdery sand is incredibly soft and comfortable on your feet. Being a popular tourist resort, Yasmine Hammamet holidays are well supported with lots of watery activities like water-skiing, jet-skiing and windsurfing.

Restaurants in Yasmine Hammamet

L’Olivier: This no-nonsense restaurant is a great choice if you’re on family holidays with children. The unfussy menu includes classic favourites like burger and chips or pizza, as well as more traditional Tunisian meals like Brik and spicy lamb sausages.

Berber: Close to Hammamet and the medina, this restaurant specialises in beautifully cooked fresh fish. Being on the third floor, it’s quite hidden away, but it’s well worth taking the trouble to find during your holidays in Yasmine Hammamet. Alongside delicious seafood dishes, you can also enjoy a coffee in the cafe downstairs too!

Neptune: For an unforgettable meal on your holidays in Yasmine Hammamet, head to the Neptune restaurant. It’s in a truly unique location, on a floating Spanish style galleon. And as you’d expect from a maritime themed restaurant, the menu mainly consists of ultra fresh fish dishes with delights such as octopus, grilled swordfish and flambéed king prawns.

Nightlife in Yasmine Hammamet

Hotel-based holidays: Yasmine Hammamet holidays are a little quieter and more refined than the nearby neighbours on the Gulf of Hammamet. That’s not a problem if you want to have a great night out though, as there are over 40 (mainly all inclusive) hotels in the area, most of which offer their own entertainment and activities. For example, the Hotel el Olf actually has a large disco which you can have a boogie at even if you aren’t on all inclusive holidays in Yasmine Hammamet or even staying at the hotel. Plus there’s the 80s style disco at Hotel Marina Palace for dancing that’ll take you back in time!

Shopping in Yasmine Hammamet

Touristy shopping: The shops in Yasmine Hammamet holidays are largely centred on tourist essentials such as beachwear, supermarkets and chemists. Although that’s not to say you can’t find some classy fashion shops in Yasmine Hammamet, especially the designer boutiques on the main shopping street.

City shopping: Luckily, the main town of Hammamet is just a short walk or taxi ride away. You’ll enjoy even bigger choice here, especially at the famous 15th century Medina which has a huge number of stalls selling all sorts of items from fragrant perfumes to quality leathers, mainly to tourists on their holidays here. Haggling is encouraged, and it’s a great way to get those cheap items even cheaper!
