Tsilivi Beach: This beach is incredibly popular for family holidays thanks to its soft golden sands and inviting crystalline waters. If you’re having your holidays in Tsilivi in the summer, make sure you set your stall out early, as the beach can get busy! It’s not surprising it’s so popular, as the beach was awarded a Blue Flag for its cleanliness and safety, while it’s well supported with bars and restaurants all along the coastline. To the north of the beach you’ll also spot the old Venetian watchtower, also known as a vardiola.

Smugglers’ Cove: To the north-west of the island, this beach became famous because of the smugglers’ boat which wrecked itself here after stormy weather and a chase with the Greek army. But it’s great that the beach is now on the map, as the white limestone cliffs and stunning turquoise waters make this one of the more beautiful beaches in the world.

Tragaki Beach: Further west from Tsilivi Beach, Tragaki has similar soft golden sand and calm clear waters. The slightly smaller resort of Planos is nearby too, and there are several hotels, bars and restaurants in the area.
