Here you can relax on the sun loungers while working on your tan or play some beach volleyball or football on the soft sand. Step foot in the cooling blue waters and have a go at the water activities like jet skiing, banana boating and even diving! When it’s time to take a break from the sun hire a large beach umbrella and enjoy a moment in the shade before continuing the fun.
If you love to shop, you’ll be in the right place, as there are hundreds of shops to explore including the ones inside the impressively sized Royal Beach Mall. Visit the ancient town of Nessebar and enjoy exploring the historic sites or have fun at the four local waterparks, try hang-gliding, compete with the family at go-karting or play a game of mini golf. You will never be short of things to do during your Sunny Beach holiday!
Although a fascinating ancient town, Nessebar is also a thriving resort like the resort of Sunny Beach. It’s the ideal place for those who enjoy history due to the high number of historic buildings. If you want to experience the best of the older structures then the Old Town is where you should head to first. This part of Nessebar is located on a peninsula and boasts impressive historic importance and rightly so, as it is over 3000 years old and was once a Thracian settlement. If you want to discover more about the towns past, pay a visit to the Archaeological Museum.
Take in the beautiful architecture as you explore the cobbled streets and if you get the chance, visit the churches here, which include St Stefan Church and St Spas church, both of which are now museums and simply can’t be missed if you love journeys of discovery. The ancient theatre in the Old Town hosts a number of concerts throughout the year and don’t forget to check out the windmill, which has becoming an iconic part of the town. Along the shore you will find the fisherman’s harbour and many restaurants serving fresh fish dishes nearby.
Due to the main attraction being the beautiful golden beach, it’s not surprising that there are many exhilarating water sports available. Banana boating, surfing, sailing, row boating, water skiing and yachting are just a few of the exciting sports you will be able to have a go at.
Fancy feeling the thrill of literally flying through the air? Then this is the activity for you. Start from an elevated point and enjoy the thrill of taking off and gliding over Sunny Beach where you will be able to enjoy some of the best views from above.
Have fun getting wet at the four fantastic waterparks in and around Sunny Beach. Action Waterpark is filled with fun slides to shoot down at speed, with many pools and plenty of places to relax. Aqua Paradise is even more entertaining, as not only does it have slides and pools but a huge castle to be explored! There is also Kuban Aqua Park and the Pirates of the Caribbean mini aqua park close to the centre.
Fun for kids
As well as the aqua parks, the resort offers mini golf, go-karting and a haunted house known as Horrorwood. The smaller kids can have a go at riding ponies and the larger kids can even try horse riding too! These are all fantastic activities for the younger ones in the group to enjoy and adults are sure to enjoy them too!
This beautiful beach has been awarded the prestigious Blue Flag status thanks to its cleanliness and with an enchantingly natural environment, you are sure to fall in love with these sandy shores. If you’re concerned about not being able to find a spot during the busy season don’t be, as the beach is not only very long but is over 60 metres wide in some places. This means that you can be sure you will always have a spot waiting for you on the soft golden sands of Sunny Beach.
As well as being the number one spot to relax, the beach is also one of the best places to stay active thanks to the amazing assortment of various water sports. Water skiing, banana boating, yachting, paddle boating and surfing are just a few of the available water sports you can have a go at, so get ready to get seriously wet!
Fancy trying some Mexican food? If so, head to Mamacita’s, which is the number one authentic Mexican restaurant within the resort offering a selection of unforgettable dishes including fajitas, nachos, chili con carne and more! Jack’s Restaurant and Bar is the only British venue on Sunny Beaches main strip. It offers a great menu and a lovely atmosphere, which will have you coming back again and again.
Experience a taste of the Wild West by venturing into Chilli Peppers, where you will find an awesome selection of barbequed food such as steaks, ribs and all of your favourite tasty meat. La Bamba is also a great place to get an awesome steak and it also specialises in fresh fish dishes if that’s your favourite thing. Check out the Fat Cat Restaurant and Pub for that authentic pub feel and don’t forget that these are just a few of the restaurants that can be found within this amazing resort, so don’t be afraid to explore the streets.
Revolution is one of the most popular clubs and for good reason! Not only does it offer it’s very own resident DJ but also hosts international DJ’s throughout the year, so you can be sure of plenty of great music! It boasts a superb LED ceiling, which can change the atmosphere in a second, matching to the tone and style of the music.
The recently refurbished Iceberg club is another top club in Sunny Beach and offers an international atmosphere with high tech sound system, resident DJ and capacity for 1000 people! It also has a convenient outside area when you need to get some fresh air. The Flying Dutchman, Hollister and Orange Disco are also nearby and well worth visiting.
It’s not just within the clubs and bars where you can party, the huge beach is a venue in itself with weekly outdoor parties where you can experience sets from some of the world’s most successful DJ’s. There’s nothing like partying on the sand and since there is rarely a closing time to worry about, you can keep on partying until the sun comes up. If the beach is where you want to party then head to the Guava Beach Club, which also offers hammocks, BBQ’s and fun throughout the day as well!
If you really want to can continue the party off shore by getting onboard the Tattoo party boat! This is where you will be able to party afloat across three decks that boast a capacity of 400, with plenty of space to relax and most importantly plenty of place to dance to the great tunes. When it’s not a floating club this brilliant boat also offers offshore fun for families with themed entertainment with drinks and food included.
Enjoy a day of window-shopping while walking along the many streets of Sunny Beach and decide what you want to buy. From clothing and crafts to high fashion and jewelry, you are sure to find something in some of the stalls, shops and boutiques.
If you fancy a more modern shopping environment, head to the Royal Beach Mall, which offers everything you will need when it comes to purchasing goods. Buy the latest clothing, replace your old swimwear, treat yourself to some comfy new walking shoes or try one of the restaurants. Head to the supermarket to stock up on snacks or simply take your time browsing the 140+ shops that can be found here. There is another mall in the nearby resort of Burgas but chances are you won’t need to travel any further, as Sunny Beach has everything you will need.
