San Agustin Overview

Quiet and calming holidays: San Agustin holidays offer quieter holidays than some of the neighbouring louder holidays on the south coast of Gran Canaria. It’s the perfect place to come if you want to get away from it all, but still be near enough to enjoy the lively bars in Playa del Ingles.

Beach holidays: A dusky golden stretch of sand that’s around 600m long makes up the main beach on San Agustin holidays. It’s a nice quiet spot for sunbathing on your holidays. It never gets too crowded so there’s plenty of space to relax and soak up some rays all day.

Activities in San Agustin

Holiday World: This unusual theme park on San Agustin holidays combines thrilling rides, funfair games and bowling for the kids with pubs and clubs for adults. Holiday World is open all day as a lively theme park, and then later the atmosphere turns into party central with Irish-themed pubs and a Latin salsa nightclub.

Casino Palace: One of the two main casinos on Gran Canaria holidays, you get cheap food and drinks plus entertainment all thrown into one very cheap package. You’ll see everything from ice-skating to flamenco dancing in the nightly show, plus you could have a flutter at the tables yourself on games like Blackjack and Roulette.

Beaches in San Agustin

San Agustin Beach: The quiet San Agustin Beach is just the place for relaxation on your holidays. The sand is a dusky golden brown colour but hey, it’s fine and soft so who can ask for more? It’s also a wide stretch which leads to calm, shallow waters. The flat landscape makes for a far reaching view towards the skyline of Playa del Ingles.

Restaurants in San Agustin

Restaurant Bamira: Just a little further east from San Agustin holidays near the quiet golden brown beach Playa del Aguila you’ll come across this fabulously innovative restaurant. The interesting twist here is the menu changes according to which fresh local ingredients are available at the time. So it’s a real surprise every time to see what magic the chef will cook up.

Trez Corazones: This friendly restaurant has all the things you need for a great meal on your holidays – tasty classic dishes, live music and a large dance floor. The chef and waiters will even join in the dancing with you once they’ve finished serving your food!

Loopys: This friendly cafe/restaurant is based right by San Agustin beach and serves tasty snack food like pizzas and burgers. You can also try a calzone here, which is basically a pizza folded in half, with all the delicious toppings encased inside.

Nightlife in San Agustin

Enjoyable evenings for family holidays: Being the smaller resort, San Agustin offers much quieter holidays than its noisy neighbours Playa del Ingles and Maspalomas. You can still have a good night out here though, and there are plenty of British and Irish bars which welcome those on family holidays.

Near to all the action: Of course, should you wish to have lively holidays in Gran Canaria, it’s only a short trip to action-packed Playa del Ingles. Bizarrely, the bars and clubs in the Canary Islands are based around shopping centres, so the Kasbah centre is a great place to go if you want to party all night. The nightclub Joy is the ideal place for pop lovers, while you might prefer Cream if you’re into dance music.
