Los Gigantes Overview
Stunning beauty: Los Gigantes holidays 2021 offer the most picturesque views on the island, with huge rocky cliffs dominating the skyline. The mountains run right the way along the coastline, and make for an impressive sight while you’re sunbathing on the area’s volcanic black beach.
Peacful holidays: On the north-western coast of Tenerife, Los Gigantes holidays are a world away from the livelier resorts of Playa de las Americas and Costa Adeje. Sure, Los Gigantes is much smaller too, but for sheer beauty and tranquillity the area is unrivalled.
Activities in Los Gigantes
Dolphin and whale watching: The water surrounding Tenerife is rich with sea life, in particular there are large numbers of pilot whales and bottlenose dolphins. And you can see these amazing creatures for yourself by taking one of the many boat trips out to sea. You’ll have some wonderful memories of your holiday and hopefully some great photos too!
Los Gigantes Lido: This public outdoor swimming pool is filled with saltwater from the sea and has fantastic views out across the mountains. There’s also a rocky natural pool within the lido, with plenty of sea life to keep you amused if you’re snorkelling!
Beaches in Los Gigantes

Restaurants in Los Gigantes
Jardin del Sol: Being a resort aimed squarely at British holidays, you won’t find many opportunities in Los Gigantes to sample the local cuisine. However, Jardin del Sol does offer some inventive dining for great value prices. Interesting dishes include Swordfish in Champagne and Stuffed Pancakes.
El Pescador: Despite the exotic name, this restaurant caters well for British holidays to Los Gigantes. You can choose from classic dishes from all over the world, including Spaghetti Bolognese, Lamb Chops and Fish Soup.
Krishna’s: The only Indian restaurant in the area, but luckily it’s a good one! You can expect all your favourite Indian curries here, served sizzling hot with fragrant pilau rice and freshly cooked naan bread. Low prices mean it’s a good choice if you like keeping cheap holidays to Tenerife cheap!
Nightlife in Los Gigantes
Family friendly holidays: As Los Gigantes has a focus on family holidays you won’t find any rowdy clubs and bars open till the early hours here. However, you can expect to find a good few friendly British pubs that’ll welcome you in for a drink. The Green Corner is popular for its big screen TVs showing all the latest sports, and you’ve also got Bamboo and TJ’s which have live entertainment almost every night.
Shopping in Los Gigantes
Local shopping centre: There’s a small shopping centre in Los Gigantes. It’s certainly not as big as the huge malls along the south coast, but it still has a number of branded shops, restaurants and a supermarket. Aside from that, as Los Gigantes holidays don’t really have a focus on shopping, if you’re after more shops you’d be best off getting a taxi to Adeje.
