Asklipio Castle: Sitting on a high plateau overlooking the unspoilt village of Asklipio, the ruins of this castle make for a fascinating sight. The castle was actually built by medieval knights in the 13th century. Although only sparse structures and ruins remain today the castle is still well worth visiting as you’re free to walk around the narrow parapets and open water tanks. Plus, at the castle’s peak you’ll be rewarded with some great views across Lardos village.
Ipseni Monastery: Just to the west of the centre of Lardos holidays, this pretty whitewashed monastery is a very peaceful retreat, set amongst olive groves and fruit orchards. Built in the 19th century, the monastery is a real sight for sore eyes with its bright terracotta roofing and ornate central bell tower.

Beaches in Lardos
Lardos Beach: This pleasant stretch of gently curving coastline has the prestigious accolade of winning the European Blue Flag Small Pebble & Sandy Beach Award. With scenic surroundings backed by olive trees and dusky mountains, and calm crystalline waters it’s easy to see why it won this award. The thatched wood parasols over the sun beds give the beach a rather rustic vibe, but there’s still plenty of fun to be had out to sea as water sports are also offered here.
