All Inclusive Holidays

Caleta de Fuste, Fuerteventura

Caleta de Fuste cheap all inclusive holidays

Caleta de Fuste Overview

Beach holidays: Caleta de Fuste is built around beach holidays, and it’s easy to see why. The coastline gently curves into a horseshoe-shaped bay, with the headlands helping to protect the water from strong winds and currents. The golden sand is imported from the Sahara, as is common for the beaches you’ll visit during holidays in Fuerteventura.

Relaxed holidays: Caleta de Fuste actually has three different names! Locally it is known as El Castillo, due to the large fort which stands on the edge of the coast overlooking the sea. Recently it has also been renamed as Costa Caleta to make it easier for holiday makers to pronounce! So be sure that if you see Costa Caleta holidays, they’re actually the same as Caleta de Fuste holidays. Either way, the centre has been respectfully built, with no unsightly high-rises and a sedate, low-traffic atmosphere.

Shopping holidays: The Canary Islands know how to make great shopping centres for tourists on their holidays here, and Fuerteventura is no exception. The shopping centre in Caleta de Fuste, the Atlantico Complex, is an impressive mall with cinema screens, bowling alleys, arcades and hundreds of shops.

Activities in Caleta de Fuste

Water activities: You’ll find lots to do on Caleta de Fuste holidays if you like the water. As well as plenty of wild water sports on the beach, you can also take a trip in a glass-bottom boat, go whale-spotting or dive to the bottom of the sea on unforgettable holidays in Caleta de Fuste

Fuerteventura Golf Course: This 18-hole championship level course is the biggest and best you’ll see on Fuerteventura holidays. It’s very close to Caleta de Fuste - just 2km from the main beach. The fairways are incredibly flat and wide, and the holes aren’t too challenging bar the three large lakes which make for some tough long-distance shots!

Beaches in Caleta de Fuste

Caleta de Fuste: The main beach in Caleta de Fuste curls around a bay, and is a gloriously golden colour thanks to the imported sand. The wide, open expanse gently shelves into blue waters. Fuerteventura often has high waves and strong winds but the sea here is surprisingly calm as the headlands of the bay cut off any currents. As such, it’s ideal for children and family holidays. Plus, the extra space here means you can really stretch out on your sunbathing during holidays in Caleta de Fuste!

Restaurants in Caleta de Fuste

15: A very original idea for a restaurant: every night 15 dishes are displayed on the blackboard, but they only remain based on their popularity. If a meal isn’t being ordered, it gets taken off the list to be replaced by another, exciting (and mouth-watering) dish. Obviously, you can imagine the menu changes rather quickly but some of the dishes displayed include Nacho Salad, Chicken in Whisky and Salmon with Lime and Cucumber.

Fado Rock Steak House: For fantastically juicy, flame-grilled meat look no further than this highly-rated steak house. Food is served rustically on wooden and stone platters and includes such dishes as Mixed Skewer Kebabs, Barbeque-flavoured Steak and Leg of Lamb. Portions are huge meaning great value for money if you have cheap holidays to Caleta de Fuste.

Frasquita: The decor of this restaurant is fairly basic but it’s in an amazing location just overlooking the beach out to sea. It’s certainly in an ideal position for a fish restaurant, which serves up freshly-cooked Mussels, Tuna Steaks and Sardines.

Nightlife in Caleta de Fuste

Quieter holidays: There are a good number of bars on Caleta de Fuste holidays, just don’t expect lively holidays with mad partying and lots of extremely loud clubs. You’ll find some regional British bars such as Flower of Scotland, O’Connors and Kavanagh’s, as well as bars with a great selection of cocktails like Bar Tropical. Caleta de Fuste is ideal if you just want to enjoy some drinks on family holidays whilst sitting outside on wonderfully warm evenings.

Shopping in Caleta de Fuste

Atlantico Centre: Built in 2007, this modern shopping centre is set in lush landscaped gardens with fountains and lakes decorating the entrance. Inside, there is a large multi-screen cinema, a bowling alley, gaming arcades and branded shops.

Caleta de Fuste Market: There’s a selection of stalls set up every Saturday on the Caleta de Fuste High Street. With Fuerteventura holidays being so close to Morocco, you’ll find some original African-inspired items and souvenirs here. You can also expect great prices on clothing, jewellery and fresh local produce, ensuring cheap holidays to Caleta de Fuste are entirely possible, even if you’re on a tight budget.
