Cala Bona Overview
Relaxing holidays: Tucked away on the east coast, Cala Bona holidays are some of the quietest in Majorca. As a result, it’s slightly better suited to relaxing holidays for older couples or family holidays.
Beautiful marina: The Cala Bona harbour is still fully functioning. Come out early in the morning and watch the fishermen spring into life with their daily catch.
Natural beauty: The protected park Punta de n’Amer is quite close by. It’s a nature reserve with a diverse array of wildlife; you might even catch a sight of some rare birds and fish if you visit here during your holidays to Cala Bona.
Activities in Cala Bona
Mediterranean Watersports: Like your holidays in Cala Bona to be a little more active than lazing on the beach? Not a problem! The calm seaside on Cala Bona holidays plays host to a range of water sports – everything from scuba diving to paragliding. You could even try the new craze of kite surfing!
Rancho Willy: These horse stables are also just a short walk from the centre of Cala Bona, in the Tramuntana mountain district. You can have a fun ride on horses and ponies through the beautiful countryside of Majorca and enjoy a nice change of scenery from beach holidays on the coast.
Punta de n’Amer: And if you find yourself falling in love with the lush plant life and unspoilt views in the forestry of inland Majorca, you’ll probably like to visit Punta de n’Amer too. It’s a protected nature reserve with a diverse array of wildlife; you might even catch a sight of some rare birds and fish during your holidays!
Auto Safari Zoo: Then again you could always take a trip to the Auto Safari Zoo where you’ll be guaranteed to see lots of exotic animals. A mini train runs around the entire enclosure, past monkeys, elephants, lions and lots more, making the ride lots of fun for young children on family holidays.
Beaches in Cala Bona
Cala Bona: With many hidden coves and small stretches of fine sand, you can find your own private slice of holiday paradise on holidays to Cala Bona.
Cala Millor: The fine cotton-white sand here is considered to be the softest of all beaches in Majorca holidays. The only drawback is it can get a bit crowded during the summer holidays.
Cala Anguila: Although this beach is fairly small, it more than makes up for it with soft sand that’s a treat for the feet and inviting crystal clear water. The stunning rocky scenery in the area adds up to it being one of the best beaches you’ll see on holidays to Majorca.
Restaurants in Cala Bona
Melis: To start, one place we absolutely must recommend is Melis. The food here is not the most authentically Spanish in Cala Bona holidays, but it more than makes up for it in the quality of cooking. Their fish dishes are exceptionally fresh, so give the seafood pizza a try.
Asia Buffet: Next up on the menu we have Asia Buffet. It offers exactly as its name suggests: all-you-can-eat Oriental food served simply and deliciously. And with a very cheap price per person it’s perfect if you’re looking for great value meals whilst on cheap holidays to Cala Bona.
Nightlife in Cala Bona
Cala Bona: There’s a smattering of karaoke joints and British bars in Cala Bona holidays that make for family friendly nights out. You’ll find plenty of places playing all the latest footy on huge widescreen tellies too. Some of the best bars are found around the harbour area.
Cala Millor: If you find the nightlife in Cala Bona holidays a little too sedate, you could always catch a taxi to nearby Cala Millor. The party lasts a little longer into the night there, as they have a couple of good discos that’ll help keep your holidays lively.
