Torrevieja Natural Park: The salt lakes within this natural park have played a big part in the history of Torrevieja. Salt has been harvested from the lakes since the 13th century and still continues today. Due to the high salt content you wonít see many fish in the lakes, but you will see lots of birdlife on your holidays in Torrevieja. The park is a dream for bird-watching holidays as flamingos, stilts and grebe all gather around here.
Natural History Museum: Situated in a grand old building, this small museum has lots of different species on show, with a particular focus on marine life. The dolphin and huge whale skeletons are of real interest, and theyíre backed up with information on each animal displayed. 4 golf courses: Torrevieja holidays are great for golfing holidays as there are 4 championship level 18-hole courses all within 10km of Torrevieja holidays.
