The main attraction of this coastal town is the Playa De La Arena beach. The beach is all black volcanic sand but don’t let that put you off! Playa De La Arena beach has received the European Blue Flag award for cleanliness and its amenities are second to none. A whole holiday could quite happily be spent on the beach, sampling the surrounding cafes and where the most pressing concern is how to fortify the sand castle you build.
As for activities, water sports are the activity of choice with a wide variety available during most months in Playa De La Arena. Walking tours are greatly enjoyable and mean you get to see the fantastic scenery of Playa De La Arena while a gentle sea breeze cools you down. An excursion to the Los Gigantes cliffs are definitely worth thinking about and if that is not entirely to your taste then Playa De La Arena also offers arcades and restaurants and easy access to other resorts.
