Just east of Greece is the second largest of the Sporades islands - Skopelos. Skopelos is an island that is more up-market and less about mass-tourism. So if you want a holiday that has a real taste of authentic Greece to it, then Sunmaster holidays to Skopelos won’t come as cheap, but they will provide!
Skopelos is a very verdant island. Rather than being renowned for its beaches as most of Greece is, Skopelos holidays are instead renowned for their natural beauty. Mountains and hills comprise the lie of the land and Skopelos is nearly filled with lush forests. With groves, meadows and streams, hiking around Skopelos makes the perfect holiday for nature-lovers – although for serious hikers, Sunmaster recommends staying away during the hot summer months!
Skopelos has quite a few pebbly coves where the iridescent water captivates all. Although not as known for its beaches as Greece, Skopelos holidays do offer a few beauties, with golden sands and a shimmering blue sea that stretches as far as the eye can see! So if you do like the odd day or two…or five on the beach, then Sunmaster knows you’ll love holidays to Skopelos – not only are some of the beaches lovely, but they’re quite often uncrowded too!
Skopelos is an island that has many sights to see on your holiday here – some of the history of Greece such as monasteries, fortresses and churches! As with all holidays to Greece, Skopelos serves up some fantastic Greek food in its tavernas – one of Sunmaster’s favourite things about Greece and Skopelos in particular! Most villages of Skopelos are laid back and chilled out and Skopelos Town offers some shops and bars for a bit of excitement.
