Many describe this legendary club capital as a non-stop, full-on hardcore dance mecca. Most base themselves in the popular 24 hour resort of San Antonio on the North West coast. And why not, this resort has everything you could possibly want. Get right in the heart of the action and there are also a number of restaurants, bards and designer shops on offer.

If your up for a laugh, try the fantastic go-karting which is just down the main road from the resort. You will also be pleased to know that there are plentiful cash machines in the resort, not that they will be much good by the end of the week.

So, what’s on?

A Number of excursions are available from Local resort agents and of course, your tour operator. Ibiza has a great bus network to all over the island. Simply hop on the bus to the Historic Ibiza Town. Its hosts a large marina trimmed by Fish restaurants, cafes and bars. The old narrow streets are host to countless designer shops and local crafts. There’s even a weekly hippy market! Ibiza town is also the central bus station, so getting to here opens the gateway to the rest of the island. Finally, boat and ferry trips are plentiful throughout the resorts with crossings to some of the other Balearic islands from Ibiza town.

Beach bum!

After a long night out, hit the beach. The weather in Ibiza can be very hot throughout the summer with temperatures well above 80c’ in July and August but Ibiza is blessed with some great beaches! San Antonio has curving sandy bays across the front of the resort and into the quieter “bay” end of the resort. If you want to get out and about, and relax at the same time. A must, is the ferry ride to the beaches at Cala Bassa and Cala Conta. Your chance to soak up the sun and take a well earned siesta.

Bars, Clubs & Music

Ibiza’s traditional dance scene is house in all of its forms but you can still find elements of Garage, Old Skool and Drum & Bass. In short, whatever your into. Your sure to get it here. The Island attracts Europe’s biggest DJ’s, playing at some of the Islands larger clubs such as Amnesia and Pacha. There’s a different venue for every night of your stay. You can even stay in San Antonio for a guaranteed night of fun in the small streets which host back to back bars in the West end area.

A must do, is to witness the sunset at either Café del Mar of Café Mambo. Sit back and relax with a cold one while you witness on of Europe’s most enchanting sunset scenes.

It’s not the cheapest Clubbing destination on offer, but it’s as expensive as you make it! You should try plan your spending and try not to go mad in the first few days of your holiday. Most of the larger clubs cost £20+ but the West End venues are mostly free. Probably the best value element is the Boast trips and excursions when booked with resort agents.

Balearic Tourist Taxes

Don’t forget that Ibiza is now subject to a tourist tax, payable per person on arrival at your accommodation. This tax is dependable on the official rating of your accommodation but usually costs no more than 3euros per day.
