On the north-east coast of Majorca is the peaceful Santa Margalida where life moves at a slower pace. The town square is the centre of activity with its huge gothic church and small tapas bars and shops dotted round and about. Santa Margalida has few hotels and some absolutely decadent villas – sit by the pool all day in your own private paradise! If you feel the need to venture further afield, the glorious beaches of Alcudia lie not too far away and a happy day can be spent building gleaming sandcastles and paddling in the waves! For nature lovers, S'Albufera National Park is also within easy reach and it's a fantastic opportunity to see some of Majorca's best scenery. For those of you who love historic architecture and quaint shops, then a visit to Arta should be on the cards too!
Although Santa Margalida is a beautifully peaceful resort, around August and September things can get a little crazy with the locals celebrating two Saint's days – party time! Whatever you enjoy, we're sure you'll absolutely adore Santa Margalida – a slice of true Majorca!
