Costa Teguise lies on the coast at the centre of Lanzarote which is the fourth largest of the Canary Islands. Purpose built in the seventies, Costa Teguise is one of the main resorts in Lanzarote, but has managed to remain low-key.
Costa Teguise has three main beaches but the best one would have to be the Las Cucharas beach with sand so white it gleams and the sea which sparkles a vivid blue. The beaches in Costa Teguise are winder than other beaches in Lanzarote, so windsurfers often gravitate to this beach because the conditions are perfect. If you’re an observer rather than a surfer then you can lie back under the warm caress of the sun as you watch the surfers crest the foaming waves.
There’s no shortage of things to do in Costa Teguise. Apart from lying on the beautiful beach all day, Costa Teguise has an 18hole golf course where you could try your luck with a set of clubs, a water park with lots of really wild slides and a market on Sunday where you can pick up souvenirs for all the family! Costa Teguise is also nicely placed so you can visit the rest of Lanzarote – such as the ancient Teguise village, the Cactus Garden or the volcanic landscape of Timanfaya National Park.
International cuisine, traditional Canarian fare and fast food places are the order of the day here in Costa Teguise. The food quality varies but the waiters are always friendly! Nightlife in Costa Teguise is quite low-key compared to Lanzarote’s Puerto Del Carmen but a lively night is still assured!
