San Nicolas
The scenic San Nicolas is situated on the west of La Palma close by to Puerto Naos. San Nicolas is a serene resort that is set in the countryside, and it is well known for the contradictory landscapes it offers. Set against the lush countryside, visitors can find a glittering black molten lava flow from the last volcanic eruption – quite a contrast to stumble upon!
San Nicolas really is the place to go for peace and quiet. For activities, walks through the countryside are perfect because San Nicolas has some of the best scenery in La Palma and the warm sun lights even the smallest blade of grass up! San Nicolas has few shops, few restaurants and few bars – but all have a friendly atmosphere which we're sure you'll be sorry to leave behind!
Nearby Las Manchas Wine Museum offers a great day out with some free wine tasting thrown in! La Glorieta Park also offers a nice change from the countryside and the Taburiente National Park is worth a visit no matter where you stay on La Palma! A short drive away from stunning San Nicolas, holiday makers can find quite a few secluded beaches – so if all the greenery gets too much, try some golden sand instead!
