The ancient port, Kos Town is situated in the north of Kos. The bustling capital is the perfect place to holiday no matter what it is you like to do. With lots of history of Greece within the town, holidays to Kos Town are among Sunmaster's favourites!
Kos Town has two main beaches although it's worth exploring some of the other beaches of Kos if you fancy a spot of seclusion! The beaches of Kos Town are long and sandy and have some of the clearest stretches of ocean in Greece - you'll end up spending a lot of your holiday in the water, especially with all the exciting watersports on offer! If you just fancy chilling out then try out one of the beach bars or the waterside cafes at the harbour and just sit back in the sun and relax! Sunmaster also recommend taking the time to hop on the boat from Kos Town to Turkey - well worth the short trip!
A holiday to Greece wouldn't be complete without taking in some of the history and sights of Greece and holidays to Kos Town offer a lot to see! For a start there's the Castle of the Knights of St John which for centuries has stood guarding the harbour - you really can't miss the castle if you're in Kos Town but it's worth taking a closer look! The Archaeological Museum is another treat not to be missed - the mosaic of Hippocrates and the sculptures of the Gods Aphrodite and Eros will make your holiday one to remember! If sightseeing isn't for you, then Kos Town has some of the best shopping opportunities in Greece, so you can shop until you drop!
Kos Town has lots of international and Greek restaurants you can choose from to eat at - the traditional Greek restaurants are worth at least one visit! Kos Town at night turns into party central with lots of bars, pubs and quite a few nightclubs that stay open until the early hours of the morning, although there are more low-key bars away from the centre of Kos Town if you fancy a quiet night!
