Ibiza Town
Also known as Eivissa, Ibiza Town is the capital of Ibiza. Situated in the south-east of the island, Ibiza Town consists of three parts – the walled Old Town, the New Town and the Marina. This is why people love to come to Ibiza Town – holidays here have something for everyone!
Holidays to Ibiza Town are just full of things to do. Once you get to your hotel and unpack, take a walk around the shops and market stalls, picking up unusual trinkets and cheap jewellery to take home! Or why not grab a ferry to the idyllic Formentera with its beautiful beaches and luxury hotels? Walking round the harbour of Ibiza Town is a nice way to spend an afternoon as well, gazing at the boats and stopping in one of the many water-side cafes for a cheap lunch and glass of wine! If you’re interested in history, then Ibiza Town is full of it – the 14th Century Cathedral in the Old Town is definitely worth a visit before you go back to your hotel for a siesta!
Ibiza Town is within walking distance of several gorgeous beaches such as the beaches of Talamanca and Figueretas where the sand is soft and the sea offers hours of entertainment! With cheap beachside cafes too, you can’t go wrong!
Ibiza Town does contain a few hotels that are relatively cheap but quality. However, most hotels are just outside of Ibiza Town, allowing the town to keeps its image. Holidays to Ibiza wouldn’t be complete without some form of nightlife and Ibiza Town has some of the best – lively bars and clubs that stay open till the morning, or laid-back taverns where you can enjoy a quiet drink.
