Halkidiki

Welcome to Halkidiki! Halkidiki lies to the north of Greece and is made up of three peninsulas which dip into the Aegean Sea. Holidays to Halkidiki are something else entirely – no matter what you like, you’re sure to find it here in Greece’s Halkidiki!

The Kassandra Peninsula is in the west of Halkidiki and is the most popular holiday destination out of them all – people who want the feel of Greece without the busyness of Greece often come here for holidays…and then return! With gorgeous beaches, archaeological sites galore, relaxing hamlets and lively resorts, holidays here are among the best that Greece and Halkidiki have to offer!

Sithonia Peninsula is next. Less well known throughout Greece and not as popular as Halkidiki’s Kassandra Peninsula, Sithonia is nevertheless a wonderful place to holiday – full of isolated coves and a wild beauty in the form of forests and hills – nature lovers especially will enjoy holidays to this part of Halkidiki!

Mount Athos is the third peninsula and the most mysterious place in Greece and Halkidiki – people are very very rarely allowed there and the place is very religious and full of monasteries – but boat trips are available around its coastline!

Two of the most popular holiday destinations in Halkidiki are Pefkohori and Hanioti. Both Pefkohori and Hanioti lie on the Kassandra peninsula in Halkidiki. Pefkohori means ‘pine village’ in Greek and Pefkohori is loved for its mix of seaside and countryside – Pefkohori’s beach of gold sand is backdropped by a wonderful forest of pines! Hanioti on the other hand has beaches of white sand – which is why Hanioti is one of the best beach holidays in Halkidiki! Hanioti has markets and gardens and proves to be popular time and again!
