On the south coast of Fuerteventura lies Jandia. Jandia is a good resort for couples and families and a dream resort for beach-lovers!
Jandia has the best beaches in Fuerteventura. With over 20km of bright white sands stretching on seemingly forever, Jandia is first and foremost a beach resort – when holiday makers see the beach, they don't want to go anywhere else! Along the beach there are occasional sand dunes and lagoons which make Jandia one of the most picturesque beaches in all of the Canaries never mind in Fuerteventura!
One of the favourite activities to engage in is water sports. Jandia hosts the World Windsurfing Championships, the strong Atlantic breeze creating the perfect conditions for some wild windsurfing! For those who wish to learn or just have a bit of fun, Jandia offers everything from windsurfing to diving, so unlikely though it is, if you get bored of soaking up the sun on the sugar-soft sand, then give the water sports a go!
Although we can't imagine why you would want to move from the beach, Jandia does offer other attractions. The tax-free shops of the resort are worth some serious shopping time – we advise bringing an empty suitcase so you can fill up on tax-free goods! Nearby fishing villages offer good sight-seeing opportunities and the Jandia National Park is always worth a visit!
For places to stay, we recommend the Club Jandia Princess. The Club Jandia Princess is a set of low-rise buildings, like most hotels in Fuerteventura. The hotel rooms of Club Jandia Princess are spacious and clean and the hotel itself overlooks the beautiful white beach of Jandia. Club Jandia Princess has excellent service, activities for during the day and brilliant night time entertainment!
