Fuerteventura has a deserved reputation as offering some of the quieter holidays to the Canary Islands. Compared to holidays in Tenerife and Gran Canaria, that’s certainly true. But if you’re looking for great beaches, lush vegetation and a peaceful atmosphere, then Fuerteventura holidays 2012 are for you. Featuring huge modern shopping centres and many bars and restaurants, resorts in the north such as Corralejo and Costa de Antigua are slightly more built-up than the south. That’s not to say the south doesn’t have any delights of its own – this half of Fuerteventura has a stunning nature reserve and desert-like sand dunes in the Jandia region.
