Accommodation

The Hotel has 371 rooms all offering full bathroom, hairdryer, balcony, air conditioning, telephone, mini bar, Sat TV, safety box (payable locally). Why not treat yourselves to an upgrade: pool view rooms include the following extras: free Safety box, welcome present on arrival and free use of bathrobes and pool towels. Single rooms available at a supplement. Room service available 07:30 till midnight.

Dining & Bar Facilities

The Pool Bar La Palapa in the garden presents a varied choice of snacks and lunch la carte as an alternative to lunch in the Restaurant. The main Restaurant (buffet service) offers delicious local and international cuisine and vegetarian dishes as well as grilled specialities from the Show Cooking Grill. Each week there is a special theme night. Please note that there is a dress code in the dining room. There are also two pleasant interior bars, one of which has a terrace with a pretty view over the garden and pools.

Sports & Leisure

There are two large outdoor swimming pools in the garden, both have a shallow section for children and one is heated in the winter season. After a refreshing swim you can relax and sunbathe while enjoying a drink in the shade of the La Palapa pool bar. While the more active will have lots of fun joining in the games, quizzes, competitions and different sports organised by our entertainment team. You can also play squash (payable locally), mini-golf, ptanque (French bowls), table tennis, and book a tennis court at the sister hotel (across the street, payable locally). The evenings are taken up with a varied entertainment programm which includes shows by professional artists and dancing to disco and live music.

220 rooms, distributed in 3 buildings of 4 levels. All rooms with: twin or king size beds, air conditioning, ceiling fan, full bathroom with wirhlpool bath, hairdryer, satellite TV, direct telephone, private safe (extra charge), mini-bar and balcony or terrace. Non Smoking rooms and 4 rooms adapted for disabled persons.

Facilities & Services

There is an elegant lobby with a 24-hour reception awaiting guests as well as a seating area and a lobby bar. Additional facilities include a piano bar, an air-conditioned restaurant with a beautiful view over the sea (with a non-smoking area), 2 la carte restaurants (Asiatic and Mexican cuisine) and a public Internet terminal (for an additional fee). In addition, guests may take advantage of the bar and restaurant in the sister hotel. In the grounds, belonging to Pueblo Principe, guests will find cottages arranged in Canary Island style, numerous shops, cafs, a hairdressers and a cosmetic salon as well as a nightclub. A laundry service, car parking facilities, a garage, kid`s club (available for 2-14 year olds) and a children`s play area are also all available to guests.

The standard rooms all have full bathroom, balcony, sitting area with sofa, satellite TV, fridge, telephone and safe hire. Cots are also available on request. Due to regulations, pets are not accepted.

The reception is open 24 hours offering general information, currency exchange. Babysitting service is also offered (payable by the hour). In the main hall, details of the hotels entertainment and activities programme are posted and an area is set aside for tour operators notice boards and information books. The hall has internet connection and there is ample mobile phone coverage throughout the hotel. All mayor credit cards are accepted, so as travellers cheques.

All Inclusive Information

The AI programme consists of breakfast (08:00-10:30), lunch (13:00-15:30) and dinner (18:00-21:00), all buffet style, served in the main restaurant. During meal local drinks are offered. Snacks such as hot dogs, sandwiches, French fries, etc are available from 11:00-12:30 & 15:30-17:30 at the coffee shop. Guests can have ice cream between 11:00 & 17:00. Locally produced alcoholic & non-alcoholic drinks like whiskey, brandy, soft drinks, mineral water, juices, etc are served from 11:00-23:00 at the bar and the disco.

Sports & Leisure

There are two pool locations, both with adult and childrens areas, one is situated near the main building and the other adult pool set in the quieter garden area. The complex has a multi-sports court where tennis, basketball, volleyball and football can be played. By the main pool area there is table-tennis and darts. Also a games room with air-tennis, billiards, and arcade games are available. The hotel offers a rooftop solarium with Sauna and bar service as well. For the less energetic there is The Club House, a separate wooden chalet in front of the hotel, where the guest can enjoy a game of cards or chess surf the net or simply relax with a good book. There are regular organised activities and entertainments during the day and evening. The complex has a mini club with a full activities programme by age groups 4- 12, kids play park and kids mini disco.

Useful Information

The Merlin resort takes environmental issues seriously; the Hotel is non smoking (permitted only in designated areas) and has implanted a recycling, recuperation and re-using policy along with an energy efficiency plan and the rational use of the islands precious water resource. The hotel is just 300 metres away from the sea and a small pebble beach; three km from 27 hole golf course in the Costa Adeje, and approximately eight km from the busy international tourist resort of Playa De Las Americas. The south airport is just 25 km away and the north airport is just over an hour away, both are easily accessible by motor way and both offer car hire services, taxis and local buses.
