Cancun holidays

All inclusive luxury: Amazingly, Cancun holidays have become some of the most glamorous and action-packed worldwide in less than 40 years. Cancun is now a major holiday destination which rivals Florida holidays for modern facilities and Caribbean holidays for their breathtaking natural beauty. As soon as you arrive in Cancun you’ll see the Hotel Zone, an area which stretches for over 20km with a dazzling array of huge hotels offering luxury all inclusive holidays.

Action-packed holidays: Being a major tourist resort, Cancun holidays 2012 offer all the amenities you’ve come to expect of great beach holidays, and then some. All within the sleek, glossy hotel zone you’ll come across restaurants offering classic Mexican fare, huge shopping malls, cinemas and fun water parks.

Great beach holidays: As well as offering plenty to take your interest inland, you’ll find just as much to delight you in the numerous white beaches on holidays in Cancun. Their cotton soft quality is enhanced by the fact they actually consist of tiny grains of coral as opposed to the coarse golden variety of sand you’ll find on Mediterranean holidays.

Attractions in Cancun

El Rey Ruins: Around 18km from the main tourist area on Cancun holidays, this small but enchanting site has a number of fascinating ruins. There are actually almost 50 structures here all built around 500AD, and funnily enough, there are hundreds of iguanas roaming around freely too!

Chichen Itza: Although actually over 130 miles away from Cancun, we had to mention this site as it’s well worth the 3 hour travel time deep into the Mexican rainforest. Many people travel to the site during their holidays in Cancun, so it should be quite possible to find excursions there. Expect to see awe-inspiring structures such as the imposing pyramid-like El Castillo, or the huge Temple of the Warriors. As Chichen Itza was actually once a Mayan city, there are many structures and even caves to see, all densely packed within an area of around six square kilometres. Sunbathing around halfway down the ‘7’ is a real treat though, as you are surrounded by water to both your front and back, with the calm Nichupte Lagoon behind you and the vibrant turquoise shades of the Caribbean Sea facing you. Also worth mentioning is the supreme softness and beauty of the white sand found all the way along the beach.
