White Coast – Costa Blanca

Lying in the Spanish province of Alicante is the famous coastline Costa Blanca or the White coast. The coast is very famous among European tourists especially German and British and remains a popular tourist destination throughout the year. The coastline is called so, due to the white sandy beaches that are seen in the region. These beaches are mostly crowd pullers and there are hardly any beaches that are not crowded.
Stretching for over 200 kilometers, the beautiful white coast looks like a frill on the Spanish borders. The name for the coast was actually a result of effort to expand tourism in the region. Historically, the region was controlled by the Moors who invaded the region in the year 711 and even today, a number of architectural ruins can be seen in the region. The coast extends from the town of Denia in the North to Torrevieja in the South.
