The tropical country of Mexico, bounded by the USA in the north and by the Pacific ocean in the West and South is the fifth largest country in the Americas. Radio carbon dating of archaeological remains indicates that the region was inhabited right from 21,000 B.C. Mexico was the home to many of the famous civilizations of the old world, a few of them being the Olmec, Mayan, Zapotec and the Aztec.
According to statistical data from the World Tourism Organization, Mexico has one of the largest tourism industries in the world. The Meso American ruins and beach resorts are the ones that attract the most number of tourists. The unique culture and the climate also make Mexico a favorite tourist destination. Tourists flock the region mostly in December and in July when the temperatures are not too high. Mexico is also known for its cuisine which is world famous and one should not miss out to taste the various culinary delights when on a holiday to Mexico.
Jamaica, an island nation in the Caribbean is a part of the Greater Antilles and is located at around 86 miles south of Cuba. The island was named by its indigenous Taina speaking people as Xaymaca,which means the Land of Springs. The island was known to have been inhabited from 4000 Bc by the Tainos and the Arawaks until the British took over the island.
Jamaica is considered to have some of the best beaches in the Caribbean and anyone would want to spend their holiday in the beaches of white sands and clear waters. Jamaica has something for people of all age groups. If you’r someone looking for some adrenaline rush, then you should try the watersports like water skiing or water surfing. If you’r someone who loves to have fun, then you might wanna check out the discos or music clubs which will have a number of reggae bands performing. The Sunshine state in the US, Florida is known for its sunny beaches, the ocean with clear water and theme parks. It has been named so beacause of its warm sub tropical climate. Florida is known to have been inhabited thousands of years prior to the European settlements. Florida has some beautiful places to visit in the form of National parks and beaches, while the state maybe referred to as the sunshine state, Florida is also known to have severe weather. Central Florida is known as the lightning capital of the continental US as its is the place with the highest number of lightning strikes per year.
