Qawra – A Great Place To Relax In Malta!
11th April, 2012
With all of the wonderfully cheap holiday
deals we've got on offer for you here at Sunmaster
, it's nice to know a little background info on the destinations before you finally choose one. That's why we like telling you a thing or two about these wonderful places via our equally as wonderful blog and this week, we've got something we're sure you'll love!
Located on the northeast coast of the island of Malta
is the beautiful town of Qawra
, which offers some fantastic attractions and activities to suite the whole family! Qawra is a lot quieter compared to some of the other towns in the area, which makes it a lot more suited to couples, honeymooners and families who are after a laid back atmosphere without the noisy party districts, and although very popular with international tourists, space, peace and quiet with as much relaxation as you want are all easily attainable!
The unusual thing about Qawra that you may not be expecting is that although it is a coastal town, it doesn't have a beach! But don't let this put you off as there is a fabulous lido in the centre of town where you can relax and work on that tan, as well the pools and sunbathing areas and the majority of the hotels. However, if you and the kids really had you're heart set on having access to a beach then there is still hope! Located just 7km away from Qawra is Millieha Bay, which is said to be the best beach in the whole of Malta! This is very convenient indeed as you get the best from the town of Qawra itself and also get to take advantage of an amazingly beautiful beach where you can not only relax to the limit but also take part in numerous super- fun water activities including snorkelling, parasailing and jet skiing!
Back in Qawra there is also plenty to keep you entertained outside as well as inside including a Classic Car Museum for the motoring enthusiast, which also includes some fun things for the kids such as bubblegum machines, pin ball machines and jukeboxes! There are also some wonderful outdoor areas such as Kennedy Grove, which are some beautiful small gardens filled with vibrant plant life as well as Salina Park & Bay located just at the end of Salia Bay where you can enjoy the sun and a bit of exercise at the same time!
There are of course a fine selection of restaurants, cafes and shops and if you did want to experience a touch of the nightlife without having to live in it, the town of Bugibba
is a short distance away and offers great nightlife!
No matter what your favourite thing is to do on your holidays
, Qawra is a great little town to visit as it along with the surrounding area caters for all sorts of tastes and has very much to offer! To find out more or to book your Qawra 2012 holiday
