Located on the southwest coast of Turkey,
Olu Deniz, which translates to ‘dead sea’, a name it was given because of it’s unusually calm waters, has become one of the most popular and relaxing resorts in the whole of Turkey! Here you will find hot weather, fantastic food, beautiful surroundings and much, much more! To make it even more special, the beach at Olu Deniz has been voted one of the top five best beaches in the world, making it the perfect destination if you plan to spend the majority of you’re time on the beach!
One of the most unique features of Olu Deniz that you will most likely fall in love with is it’s stunning Blue Lagoon! This beautiful area of water surrounded by a sandy bay is protected as a national nature reserve so you won’t find any buildings near by overlooking it and spoiling the scenery. It is of course, accessible to the public and there is a beach to enjoy, although a pebble beach, don’t let that put you off as it is a true natural beauty that you will be glad you set your eyes on!
The main beach that sits in front of the town itself, is a long stretch of beautiful sand leading into amazing turquoise waters! Although it can get very busy during the summer months, thanks to it’s size there is always space for everyone so finding a good spot won’t be a problem! The beach makes a prime location for catching the rays and is the best place in the area to try out some activities, which not only include the popular water activities but the airborne ones as well, such as paragliding! The weather can get very hot in the summer months reaching highs of above 34 degrees celsius! So if you’re out and about under the sun all day, make sure that you drink lots of water and stock up on that all important sun lotion! Being lobster red is never a good look!
There are many great restaurants, shops, bars and other useful modern amenities, so holidaying in comfort and having a great time won’t be very hard to do at all! To make getting around easier, there are some great car rental options available in the area, as well as bicycle hire, so you can get to see some of the gorgeous surroundings as well as enjoying all that is close by very easily indeed!
