As you’ve probably guessed by now, we love telling you about our fantastic holiday destinations around the world and by bringing you some background info on them, we hope that this will help give you some great ideas about planning your 2012 holiday! But if you are after some more recommendations for great holiday destinations then listen up! Because our next one is an absolute winner (and this is only the first of many great locations in the area that we will be telling you about in the future!)

First up is Torremolinos, one of the most popular towns on the Costa Del Sol, which is (if you don’t already know) a long stretch of southern coastline that stretches for over 150km and is located in the Andalucia region of Southern Spain. The town originally started off as a little fishing village in the 1920′s but as the amount of tourist started to increase, so did the size of the village until it became what it is today, one of the most frequented destinations in the country, by not only international tourists but spanish tourists also due to the multicultural feel of some of the areas!

Torremolinos is most likely best known by many, for it’s numerous beautiful beaches and fantastic weather. El Bajondillo is the closest beach to the town, where you can (depending on the season) have a go at some top water activities including windsurfing, water skiing, kite surfing, snorkelling as well as being able to rent pedal boats and enjoy regular boat trips, which sometimes offer the option of going to watch the dolphins swim just off of the coast! Now that would be something special! If getting wet is your thing, then you can also enjoy a spot of swimming at Aqualand, which is claimed to be the biggest watermark in the Andalucia region!

If you want to have a break from the beach and the water, then you can enjoy the pedestrian-only Calle San Miguel, which is the perfect destination for shoppers as the area is lined with shops and runs from the centre of Torremolinos, straight down to the beach where you have to descend a winding stepped footpath, which of course is great fun to go down but as you can probably guess, not too much fun climbing up! But once you have climbed them, there are many perfect opportunities to treat yourself to a well deserved lunch at one of the many lovely restaurants in the area as well as a coffee at one of the local bars or cafes.

Once you have paid a visit to Torremolinos, we are sure that you will understand why the town is one of the top places to visit in the Spain and that you will again take advantage of one of our last minute holidays to the region so you can do it all again!

Why not check out the great deals we have to Torremolinos by searching Sunmaster.

We explore Goa in India! Read More …

If you fancy taking a break somewhere different this year, then why not consider checking out the fabulous Indian state of Goa! Where you will find everything you need to enjoy yourself, including some top clubs, bars & restaurants, shops, beaches and not to mention the amazing scenery, beautiful weather, wonderful food and of course some awe-inspiring architecture and the historic, friendly culture that will make you want to stay permanently! Goa is without a doubt the place to be in India!

Located on the west coast of India, Goa has become a very popular destination for worldwide tourists and of course, us lot from the UK! And with 70km of nearly unbroken beaches, it’s not surprising that we like it is it? But don’t forget, it’s not all about the beach as there’s so much more to see and do, including paying a visit to some of Goa’s finest cities, two of the most well known being the capital city Panaji, which has plenty to keep you entertained and the number one largest city in Goa, Vasco Da Gama, which is definitely worth a visit but due to the city being a ‘port city’ it mostly industrial and bustling with business, with little to keep the average tourist entertained but don’t let that put you off exploring the area!

If large cities are the one thing that you wanted to get away from most of all, then we would definitely recommend checking out some of the many small villages around Goa where the majority of most of the population live as these villages are described as ‘the true heart of Goa’ due to them being relatively untouched by industry and giving a true insight into the local culture. The villages are a lot cleaner than the industrial cities and much more family friendly, so you won’t have to worry about the stress caused by a city wide commute.

If culture is your thing, then make sure that you check out the many Hindu Temples, Libraries and Cathedrals located in the town of Old Goa as well as the Anjuna Flea Market! Also if you’re feeling active then why not try your hand at the popular water activities found at the local beaches including paragliding, kitesurfing, diving and jet skiing!

Whatever your tastes, Goa is a great place to go for your 2012 holiday, and with our affordable holiday package deals, we’ll aim to make visiting Goa as simple as possible if you decide to escape the freezing temperatures of the UK!

We all love going on holiday to different destinations for different reasons, whether it’s purely for the beautifully exotic beaches and crystal clear waters, the lively nightlife of the areas clubs, pubs and bars or just to get away from our hectic lifestyles and busy work schedules; but some of us love nothing more than travelling to an exotic destination to do a bit of shopping, and if that’s your thing then the town of Silema in Malta is the perfect place for you!

Located on the northeast coast of Malta, Silema first started out as a small fishing village but over the years has expanded into one the the largest commercial and residential areas and has become the number one place for shopping in Malta! It is home to the Piaza Shopping Centre, which has four floors of well known brands and shops that we all love including some lovely cafes to keep you on your feet whilst shopping your heart out! If fashion is your thing, then you should pay a visit to Tower Road, which is home to the majority of the fashion shops in Silema. Once again there is a good selection of cafes and restaurants in the surrounding area and whatever your do don’t forget Preluna Towers, which is another great shopping centre that you will no doubt have to pay a visit to if you truly do love to shop! However, it’s not all big brands and fashion, there are also plenty of Independently run boutiques that are owned by the locals that you can pick up some real unique items from! Silema really is the centre for shopping and with some of the most modern hotels in Malta in the area, you can enjoy holidaying and shopping in comfort, with only a short distance to the shopping centre.

But that’s not all! You can also enjoy a wide selection of bars and restaurants to keep yourselves entertained into the evening, without the rowdy atmosphere of a ‘party island’.

There are also many beautiful beaches in the area, so once you are all shopped out, you can relax on the gorgeous sandy beaches and soak up the sun, or if you’re feeling adventurous, try some of the water activities that are available such as, diving and snorkelling!

If you like the sound of Silema then search Sunmaster now for a great deal.

If you love to party then Ayia Napa is most definitely the place for you! Located in the far eastern end of Cyprus on the southern shore, Ayia Napa has quickly become one of the prime holiday destinations for those looking for first rate nightlife. It has become a definite contender with Ibiza for the title of party capital of the world and as a result has become very popular with successful UK music styles such as Dubstep, House, Garage and Drum n Bass as well as live bands who perform throughout the bars and clubs.

You can continue the fun by checking out some of the local beaches that Ayia Napa is also very well known for. The many ‘bathing’ beaches offer golden sand and beautifully clear, blue waters that are very popular with water sports such as jet-skiing, para-sailing, speedboating, windsurfing and of course scuba diving! But watch out, because locals claim to have spotted an ‘ancient creature’ supposedly from pre-historic times, lurking in the warm waters of Cape Greco, so why not set yourself a challenge and see if you can spot it for yourself! (however please be aware that we will not be held accountable for injury caused by supposedly extinct-sea-dinosaurs.) Cape Greco is just a short ten minute drive from central Ayia Napa and said to be one of, if not the most beautiful place on the island, offering beautiful site seeing and if you’re feeling daring, cliff jumping!

Ayia Napa is also perfect for family holidays, so if you’re not a party animal, don’t be put off by the ‘party capital’ description, as the town and surrounding areas have everything you need and more to organise and enjoy yourselves on your Ayia Napa 2012 holiday, including the Ayia Napa Waterworld themed Waterpark, which is perfect for not only the kids but the grown-ups swell! Plus it’s the biggest watermark in Europe!

Ayia Napa has this and so much more to offer! So why not take advantage of our cheap holiday deals and fly out there now to experience every bit of it!

As you’ve probably guessed, we love the Canary Islands, mainly because they have everything you need to fully enjoy your holiday, as well as having new and interesting sights that you can’t see anywhere else! However, we also understand that many of us don’t want to holiday somewhere that has a complete lack of modern amenities, and that’s where Gran Canaria comes in!

With the second largest population and with the capital Las Palmas de Gran Canaria being the number one largest city out of all of the Canary Islands, there is no way that you will feel out of touch with modern living! You will find everything you would expect and need from a large city, including many great shops, restaurants, cafes, bars, clubs, gyms and much more! But don’t worry, if you are a lover of culture and history, don’t let the modern feel of the city put you off as much of the architecture is very old indeed and displays some wonderful examples of the islands past such as the old square and with the city being declared a UNESCO world heritage site, you can rest assured that you can have the modern amenities and the historic feel all at the same time! If you were thinking of emigrating then this would be the place to be!

Weather wise, the island has come to be known as a mini-continent, due to the many micro-climates that are spread around the island. This is mainly due to the significant height differences in land around the island, from the rocky, mountainous region in the north, where rain is more common, to the lower, sunnier regions in the south, where we would recommend staying. You can enjoy highs of 27 degrees celsius in the summer but more importantly you can also enjoy highs of up to 20 degrees celsius in the winter! Making it another great winter time destination, when you just can’t take the English weather any longer!

There are many more fantastic areas of Gran Canaria that we will be telling you about very soon, so keep posted to learn more about what these truly fantastic destinations could offer you on your 2012 holiday!

We love spreading the word about some of the incredible holiday locations abroad, some of which you may not even know exist or at least probably wouldn’t give a second thought to. That’s why today we are bringing you the inside scoop on Agadir, one of the biggest and most exotic cities in Morocco, a country located on the very northwest point of Africa.

Agadir itself is located in the southwest of Morocco and with average highs up to 26 degrees celsius in the summer and even a toasty 20 degrees celsius in the winter, this is another location to add to our ‘fantastic all-year-round’ weather favourites for you to enjoy, when you get the chance of course; and what could make it even better? The city is situated directly on the coast of the Atlantic overlooking – yep you guessed it – beautiful sandy beaches, which are just jaw-dropping and are waiting for you to try them out for yourself!

As well as the beautiful natural beaches, the foothills of the Atlas mountains lay just north of the city for you to explore not to mention the very important sea port of Agadir, which is a major commercial and fishing port (and unknown to some, the first sardine port in the world!)

Because of the modern architecture, large roads, new hotels and european style bars, cafes and restaurants, Agadir is very much unlike the rest of Moroccan cities due to it’s very dynamic and modern appearance. It is definitely not stuck in the past and we are sure that you will enjoy this refreshing buzz of modern living, however if culture is you thing don’t worry, because the country is of course still full to the brim with culture and history, most of which can be discovered in the surrounding towns and areas.

Visiting Agadir is a great opportunity to discover a brand new location that we are sure you will be pleasantly surprised with!

Are you a sun worshiper like us? Of course you are, that’s why we are sure you will love the focus of our latest article, Lara Beach in the exotic – yes you guessed it -Turkey! (Don’t worry we know you probably didn’t guess it).

Located near Antalya, a city on the coast of south-western Turkey, Lara Beach is quickly becoming the number one holiday spot for us lot from the UK!

With it’s year round sunshine and average temperatures above 30 degrees celsius, you will be able to roast yourself silly seven days a week, 365 days a year; and with rainfall being very rare, it’s unlikely that you will have to pack your brolly next to your swimsuit!

The coastline, which stretches out in both directions for nearly 1600km (994 miles) and centres directly on Lara Beach and the town of Antalya is known as the Turquoise Coast. Now we’re not going to give you any guesses at why it’s called the Turquoise Coast, as I’m sure you already know (because the waters are so beautifully clear and exotic that they appear turquoise in colour to the human eye) so we won’t bother mentioning why. Like most exotic waters, they make the perfect environment for certain water activities such as snorkelling, diving and if you don’t fancy getting wet, then you can head out for a day of yachting or if that sounds too complicated, just regular boating.

There are of course plenty of chances to escape the seductive luxury of Lara Beach by heading in to the town of Antalya itself; but make sure you’re not put off by the word ‘town’ as it is definitely not a small place! The majority of the towns architecture is modern, where you will find many fantastic shops, including big brand names as well as local sellers. This is where you will find the restaurants, bars and everything you’ll need for a decent nightlife scene; and one thing we mustn’t forget is the chance to enjoy the towns culture! Although very modern there are still plenty of examples of the towns past, the main one being the beautiful roman port that joins the town to the coast.

So whatever you do, make sure that you don’t miss it and come on over to Sunmaster next time you’re in need of a flexible and affordable holiday and discover the beauty of Turkey in person!

We all have our own definition of a sunshine paradise; we all have a mental picture of some kind, showing our perfect destination, which usually includes the ‘daydream standard’ palm trees, sandy beaches and cocktails with little straw hats. However, Not me that’s for sure! Well, not until now anyway because located just on the coast of the Red Sea is a very fine place called Makadi Bay; and this is the prime location for that luxury sunshine holiday that you have been dreaming of!

With many fantastic local hotels and other accommodation, you won’t have to travel far to explore the area and no car journey will be necessary for you to take a trip to the beautiful beaches, which are just a stones throw away where you can relax and enjoy the golden sand and crystal clear waters with your cocktail; and you are free to sit on the beach all year long in lovely sunshine as the weather is toasty all year round making it the perfect excuse to book your 2012 holiday for winter, letting you escape the UK chill! Christmas in Egypt? Why not!

As for nightlife, you won’t find, well, any but it is safe to say that you don’t come to paradise for the clubs and pubs, no matter how British you are! This is what helps Makadi Bay give you that extra slice of relaxation cake when you visit so you can concentrate on properly chilling out like you’ve never chilled out before!

You can also take advantage of the lack of clubs by taking to the waters and trying many of the aquatic activities available, the number one favourite being diving, as this not only gets you into the beautifully warm waters but let’s you observe the amazing marine life that graces the red sea with it’s exotic presence.

Our latest version of paradise is only a five hour flight away from the UK, meaning that you won’t have to waste a whole day getting there, so you can at least have a little peek around the many proverbial corners and get your bearings ready for your first proper day on your 2012 holidays!

What is it about the Algarve that we love so much? What’s that you say? You’ve never been? Oh dear, well that’s something we’re going to have to change, maybe not right away but we can at least help to wet your appetite a little in the meantime!

Located in the south of mainland Portugal, the Algarve is the most popular tourist destination in the country and is home to many fantastic resorts that are frequented each year by many of us friendly Brits.

One of the most popular resorts in the region is Albufeira and it’s popular with good reason because whether you want beaches or culture, night clubs or golf clubs, Albufeia offers all of these great things and many more attractions!

With over twenty beaches in close proximity, you will be spoilt for choice when choosing which beach you would like to spend the day on! With light golden sand, clear skies and beautiful waters, you will have everything you need (fantastically hot sun included) to get that naturally gorgeous tan you want, although make sure you have plenty of sun lotion to hand as the sun can easily catch you off guard and nobody wants to look like a lobster on their Albufeira holidays now do they!

As well as soaking up the rays, you can also soak up a bit of culture when visiting the old town. The architecture tells a story and yet sits so gracefully in it’s surroundings that you will get a refreshing taste of Portugals cultured past and historical identity without having to open a single book!

As for the nightlife, located in the newer part of the old town is ‘The Strip’ where you will find everything you need for a great night out, including themed bars, brilliant clubs and of course the one thing us Brits like when travelling abroad, a good old British pub!

And once you’ve sobered up the morning after, why not treat yourself to a game of golf by visiting one of the twelve golf clubs in the area and get a game in before you head back down to the beach! (Definitely the place to go if you like your golfing holidays).

I hope we’ve managed to wet your appetite a little! and if so, make sure you keep posted as we will be bringing you more about our affordable package holidays to not only our resorts in the Algarve but the many other fantastic destinations worldwide!
