Palma – A Royal Destination

Palma is a big city situated southwest of Majorca, with an active port and a thriving economy. The main city of Palma lies on a Bay in the Western Mediterranean Sea and is the capital city of the autonomous region of the Balearic Islands in Spain. Surrounded by uninhabited islands of Cabera and Dragonera to the southeast and west respectively, Palma has become a major tourist attraction in recent years. In fact, even the Spanish Royals spend their summers in the city.
The central zone of Palma is a fertile plain while its borders are covered by rocky inlets and marinas to the south. The eastern part of the city has a number of luxury resorts for the visitors, who flock to the place throughout the year. The city also has a water park with numerous rides that remain open from May to October.
The major tourist attractions of the city include the beach that is just outside the city. Though the beach is quite noisy on one side, it is much more serene on the other side. You can also avail the services of one of the largest yacht charter companies to spend some time at sea, and it will be an experience you will never forget.
