Situated to the south eastern region of the Ionian island of Kefalonia is the beautiful resort of Kateleios. The village is located to the western end of the Mounda Bay and the main village is a bit inland and lies in a large flat plain. The region is known to have been inhabited from the Stone Age and a number of historic evidence from the region also suggests that the village was a popular port during the Venetian period.
The village is mainly called a “Get away from it all” resort mainly due the minimal touristic activity here. The resort has a peaceful uncommercial atmosphere and you definitely will love the place.
