Lying in the tranquil western coast of the island of Corfu is the village of Aghios Gordios.  Nestled in the foothills of a mountain that is lined with pine and cedar trees, Aghios Gordios is a real pleasure to the traveler’s eye. The village is located about 15 kilometers from the Corfu airport and about 16 kilometers from the Corfu port. Getting here by road will be an experience by itself as you’ll have to take the road that winds through the mountain lined with pine trees.

The village is all about its beautiful bay that has a beach so lovely that you will fall in love with it at first sight. The beach stretches for about a mile and at one end of the beach you can find rocky cliffs and the turquoise colored waters glittering in the sunlight. Other than enjoy the sea and the lovely scenery here, there is nothing much to see around here. Do not forget to taste the local cuisine and ‘retzina’ which is white wine with pine resin!
