Beautiful Neapolitan Riviera

Italy, one of the most beautiful European countries has one of the most beautiful coastlines dotted with steep cliffs and beaches. And when it comes to the Neapolitan Riviera, its not much different. Breath taking views and tasty Italian cuisine are some of the noticeable features of this region set around the Bay of Naples. One of the most picturesque locations on the Italian coast, the region has breath taking views in the form of pine trees on cliff tops and the azure blue sea.

With so many resorts in and around the region, you surely are bound to get yourself a good deal. There are lots of places to visit in the region Pompeii, Mount Vesuvius and Capri island to name a few. When you’re here, shopping is something that shouldn’t be missed. The town of Sorrento is best known for its swanky boutiques.

Magical Morocco

Looking forward to holiday in Africa? If your answer is a yes, then you should never miss the chance to visit the magical land of Morocco. Morocco, a country in North Africa is bounded by the Atlantic ocean in the west and by the Mediterranean in the North. The full Arabic name of the country is al-Mamlaka al-Maġribiyya which literally translates as “The Western Kingdom” . The present name Morocco is Latinized and is derived from the name of a city, Marrakech which means “Land of God”.

If you are on the lookout for good beaches, then you should probably head to Agadir which is known for beaches with miles of golden sand and the deep blue sea. Marrakech is another famous city that is known for its souks, mosques, gardens and other places of interest. Do not miss out on the street performers and the night life when at Morocco. Holiday once in Morocco and you sure won’t forget it for a lifetime!

A beautiful holiday in Mexico

The tropical country of Mexico, bounded by the USA in the north and by the Pacific ocean in the West and South is the fifth largest country in the Americas. Radio carbon dating of archaeological remains indicates that the region was inhabited right from 21,000 B.C. Mexico was the home to many of the famous civilizations of the old world, a few of them being the Olmec, Mayan, Zapotec and the Aztec.

According to statistical data from the World Tourism Organization, Mexico has one of the largest tourism industries in the world. The Meso American ruins and beach resorts are the ones that attract the most number of tourists. The unique culture and the climate also make Mexico a favorite tourist destination. Tourists flock the region mostly in December and in July when the temperatures are not too high. Mexico is also known for its cuisine which is world famous and one should not miss out to taste the various culinary delights when on a holiday to Mexico.

Lovely Menorca

Menorca (also spelt Minorca) is one of the Balearic islands and is located in the Mediterranean sea. It belongs to Spain and perhaps derives it name due to it being smaller than the island near it, Majorca. The island is known for its prehistoric stone monuments and the culture of Menorca was perhaps influenced by the Minoans of Crete. In the year 1993, Menorca was designated as a Bio sphere reserve and has been a popular tourist destination in the Mediterranean.

Menorca is known for its beaches and so, if you’r someone who wants a holiday with lots of beaches, Minorca is definitely the place for you.  As a matter of fact, Menorca has greater number of beaches than Majorca and Ibiza put together. The northern coast known for it rather rugged terrain. Minorca is also known for best deals in hotels and other things. With lots of discos  and bars in Menorca, night life is something that everyone has to experience when on a holiday here.

A holiday in the Isla Margarita

The Isla de Margarita or Margarita island is located to the North of the country of Venezuela. Lying in the Caribbean sea, the island’s primary occupations include fishing and tourism. Coche and Cubagua are two other islands in the same state as that of Margarita. The island was discovered by the famous explorer Christopher Columbus.

Tourism being the island’s primary industry, the island keeps attracting thousand of tourists every day. Breathtaking scenery and night life are some of the factors that boost up the tourism in the region. With over 105 miles of coastline, the region is dotted with atleast 50 beaches, ranging from crowded ones to virgin ones. Playa El Agua is a famous beach with almost 4 kilometers of fine sand and is also known to be a famous windsurfing spot. Playa Puerto Cruz is another famous beach that is known for its beauty and services. Another place that is not to be missed is the La Restings Nature Reserve beach where a sandbar joins the two ends of the island.

Beautiful Malta

Malta is an island nation in the Mediterranean sea located at 93 kilometers off the coast of Italy and is made up of a seven islands, of which Malta and Gozo are the largest. Malta derives its name possibly from the Greek word for honey presumably due to the country’s honey production. Malta promises to be a great holiday destination for people who are looking for sandy beaches with the Mediterranean climate.

Without just being a popular resort, Malta also promises to be a great place for history lovers. There are a number of monuments and monastries to visit. The St’ Paul’s cathedral in the medieval town of Mdina and the Catacombs are not to be missed. Check out Fort Rinella, home to the world’s biggest cannon. Take a swim in the beautiful waters of the sea and explore the caves and wrecks or swim alongside dolphins in some of the marine parks. Malta has something for everyone and will be the ideal choice for a family holiday in the Mediterranean.

Lovely Marmaris

Marmaris is a beautiful Turkish city on the Mediterranean coast. Located in the Mugla province, Marmaris has long been a vaunted tourist resort that has become one of the most popular destinations in the Mediterranean region. Tourists flock to the town around the year, but it is busiest in the summer months as northern  Europeans converge to the Mediterranean coast for fun and sun.

Known in ancient times as Pyskos, Marmaris has a rich and historical character that is readily manifest in its sights and sounds. The city is home to a majestic historic castle that was besieged by the forces of Alexander the Great. Marmaris castle was rebuilt in the sixteenth century by the Ottomans as a prelude to their campaign on Rhodes. Today, the citadel serves as a reminder of the magnificient past of the city.

There is much to see and do in Marmaris. The nightlife is one of the most vibrant in Turkey, while the excellent beaches offer you a great opportunity to relax and unwind on the azure Mediterranean coast. Ferries and hydrofoils can take you to Rhodes, Greece.

Gem of the Indian ocean – Maldives

Maldives is an island country and a group of atolls in the Indian ocean extending from the Minicoy islands to the Chagos archipelago and is located about 435 miles south-west of  Sri Lanka. The island region encompasses a total of around 1192 islands of which only 200 islands are inhabited. It is the smallest country in Asia and the country with the lowest highest point at 2.3 meters.

The name Maldives may have originated from Maale Dhivehi Raajje, the local name for the island. The island is ideally called the Gem of the Indian ocean as the islands lie scattered in the sea like gems. Maldives is ideal for people who want a break from their rather hectic life and enjoy life at a slower pace. There are hundreds of inhabited islands and is a dream come true for people looking forward to holiday in some of the untouched beaches. Snorkeling and diving are some of the activities that one should never miss when on a trip to the Maldives.

The name of the island is derived from Latin word insula maior meaning larger island which later transformed as Maiorica. Majorica has tourists flocking in throughout the year and has been the most favorite in package tourism since 1949.

The beautiful Meditteranean island has something for all age groups. If you are someone belonging to the younger generation, then you might wanna check out Magaluf that is known for its beaches and nightlife. Alcudia is another famous place for families and its known for its fun atmosphere. For someone who’s been looking for some calm and peaceful atmosphere, you should check out the picturesque Purto Cristo. Majorca is one island with a million things to do and is the perfect idea of a Meditteranean holiday

Explore Cyprus – Larnaca region

The Larnaca region is the Eastern region of Cyprus and is known to be the best place in Cyprus for a holiday. With lots of beaches and resorts in this region, having fun is all that matters here. Beautiful golden beaches with water that have shades of emerald can be found at Ayia Napa and Nissi. These places are just great for water sports and boat rides.

Another famous resort in this region is Protaras which is known to have the quietest and the best beach in this region – The Fig Tree bay. Its not just beaches when it comes to Larnaca, you can also pay a visit to the local temples,churches or monasteries. There is something for everyone. The Larnaca region is also known for its nightlife and with a multitude of clubs and bars, having fun is all that matters when you’re on a holiday at the Larnaca region!!
